The actor and the director started becoming friends during their shoot, and eventually, they began dating each other.

At first, they tried really hard to keep the news private, and only a few close friends and the TV crew knew about their dating.
Just after a year of dating each other, he proposed to her, and the couple got engaged. They received some sort of backlash as they are over twenty years apart from each other, however, the couple does not see the problem and are still living together.

After their engagement, Taylor-Johnson and his wife knew everything was public, so they decided to show together at events and shows, confirming they are together and even engaged.

She was previously married to Jay Jopling, and the ex-couple share their two daughters, as both of them have joint custody of their children.
